Prescription system

Clinic prescription printing onto your own pre-printed paper, to ±0.1 mm.

MyClinic's clinic prescription system lets doctors build prescriptions inside the visit screen and print them directly onto the clinic's existing pre-printed paper — the doctor's name, the licence number, the clinic header, the watermark already on the page. The system positions every field in absolute millimetres so the print lands exactly on the lines you designed for.

The medication library autocompletes drug names, strengths, and dosing schedules; free-text drugs are still accepted for anything the library doesn't know. Every printed Rx is captured as an electronic prescription record on the patient — searchable, reprintable, and tied to an audit log.

What you get

Everything inside this module of the clinic management system.

Pre-printed paper, perfectly aligned

Field positions are stored in millimetres per template. Setup includes a calibration pass so the print lands on the lines, not near them.

Medication library autocomplete

Type a drug, get the strength, form, and a common dosing schedule pre-filled. Library entries are clinic-specific so you only see what you actually prescribe.

Free-text drugs still work

Anything not in the library can be typed directly. Free-text and library drugs render identically on the printed page.

Per-doctor print templates

Each doctor in a multi-doctor clinic can have their own pre-printed paper design. The system picks the right template by the doctor who closes the visit.

Reprint without redo

Past prescriptions stay attached to the patient record. Reprint a duplicate copy with one click — useful for refills and insurance.

Audit-logged every time

Every Rx — new, edited, or reprinted — is recorded with the doctor, the timestamp, and the patient. Compliance without the paperwork.

How it works

From first patient to last receipt.

  1. Step 1 · Setup

    Upload your paper template

Send us a PDF or scan of your pre-printed paper. We measure the field positions and ship a per-doctor template.

  2. Step 2 · Calibrate

    One-time alignment pass

Print a calibration sheet, mark the four corners, and the system locks the offset to ±0.1 mm.

  3. Step 3 · Prescribe

Build the Rx in the visit

Type the drug, the system autocompletes from the library, or free-text. Add as many lines as you need.

  4. Step 4 · Print

    One click, on the lines

Hit Print Rx. The browser sends the page to your printer with absolute positions intact. No fit-to-page, no drift.

FAQ

Common questions about clinic prescription printing.

How accurate is the print alignment?
Every field is positioned in absolute millimetres on the page. After a one-time calibration pass during setup, prints land within ±0.1 mm of the target — well within the tolerance of a typical pre-printed Rx pad.
Can I use my existing pre-printed paper?
Yes. That's the whole point. Send us a scan of your paper, we build a template per doctor, and prescriptions print directly onto whatever the clinic already uses — the header, watermark, signature line, and clinic branding stay exactly as they are.
Do I have to use a drug library, or can I free-text?
Both. A clinic-specific medication library autocompletes common drugs with strength and dosing, and free-text is always available for anything the library doesn't know. Both render identically on the printed page.
Are prescriptions saved electronically?
Yes. Every Rx is captured as a structured electronic prescription on the patient record. You can search past prescriptions, reprint a duplicate, and audit who issued what — without keeping paper copies.
Can each doctor have their own pre-printed paper?
Yes. Each doctor in a multi-doctor clinic can have their own template. When a doctor closes a visit, the system automatically uses their template for the print.
What if my printer adds margins or scales the page?
The page is sent at exact A5 / A6 / custom dimensions with no fit-to-page. We work with you during setup to disable browser scaling and lock printer margins so the offset stays at ±0.1 mm.
